Kristel Aalbers is specialized in sustainable urban planning and architecture with a focus on water. She has experience with the (spatial) integration of flows such as surface water, ecological corridors and (slow) traffic in urban plans for newly built developments and in-town renewals. Current experience is on the new Dutch Omgevingswet and municipalities’ Omgevingsvisies, in which the integration of (sustainability) themes such as water and climate adaptation together with other themes is key.
